Early War Japanese Army EM/NCO Canteen

The canteen shows substantial wear to the exterior brown paint. The full fabric harness and shoulder strap are present, showing typical spots and stains from use in the field. The canteen has metal adjustment buckles on the carrying strap; a metal cap; and a leather stopper retention strap with metal buckles, all of these features being eliminated from canteen design during the war as a measure to conserve strategic materials.
