Early SA Service Dagger by Wilhelm Wagner for SA Group Nordsee

An early SA service dagger with the blade being manufacturer marked by the firm of Wilhelm Wagner. The blade, like the dagger overall, is uncleaned. The blade nevertheless is generally bright, with typical in and out runner marks and spots and scratches. The lower reverse side of the blade has a light area of  discoloration. The blade has visible crossgrain and the “Alles fur Deutschland” motto retains virtually all of its dark burnishing. The blade is without chips or nicks. The grip is a medium reddish brown color and it is in excellent condition with a very small vertical chip in the lower reverse area of the grip. The obverse grip has a well detailed nickel eagle set into the center, and the enamel SA runes button is without chips. The nickel guards are uncleaned, with the reverse lower guard bearing the “No” mark of SA Group Nordsee. The anodized scabbard is straight and, while the scabbard has the expected scratches, it maintains a very good appearance. The scabbard fittings remain uncleaned. Overall the dagger is in excellent condition.
