Early Luftwaffe Pilot Badge by Assmann

The badge is an early production example, die struck in nickel silver. The solid eagle shows a loss of most of the original burnishing. The eagle is secured to the finely detailed wreath with two rivets. The reverse of the eagle retains most of its burnishing and has the stylized “A” mark of the Assmann firm. Excellent condition.
