Double Marked SA Service Dagger by Carl Eickhorn with Hanger
$900.00
The blade of the dagger is generally quite clean, while showing spots and scratches, with spots being particularly observable towards the tip of the blade. The burnishing of the motto is dark and presents a fine contrast. The reverse ricasso bears both the Eickhorn squirrel trademark as well as the firm’s RZM code of M7/66. together with the date of 1940. The medium brown wood grip has a relatively minor surface abrasion on the reverse side, but the grip is without cracks or damage. The obverse side of the grip has a copper colored eagle set into the grip, above which is the enamel SA runes button which is toned but without chips or cracks. The plated crossguard exhibits some speckling of the surfaces, but the plating is intact. The lower guard is without an SA group mark. The finish of the scabbard shows minor scratches but it is largely intact. The leather belt hanger is well worn but complete. The hanger clip is also double marked by the Assmann firm, with wear to the plated surfaces. Overall the dagger is in very good condition and it makes a fine appearance.
