The helmet dome lacks any holes, indicating that the helmet was produced after the elimination of the aluminum comb from the helmets of the fire police. Both the police eagle decal and the national shield decal are approximately 90 percent intact. The late war ersatz liner is in very good condition and the helmet lacks a chin strap. The interior rear rim has an old adhesive sticker bearing a handwritten number.
