The “square dip” civic police helmet is stamped aluminum construction. Both the national colors decal and the police eagle decal show age and wear but they are largely complete. The helmet at one time had an aluminum comb on the top, but this was removed and the mounting holes were filled with small oval metal panels. The exterior gloss black paint is largely intact, showing typical spots and scratches and with the helmet having one or two minor indentations. The liner is present on the interior, showing wear and use and lacking the tabs for attachment of a leather neck drape. The leather chin strap is present but broken in the center. The rear interior visor is manufacturer marked. Overall very good field used condition.
