Early DLV Deutscher Luftsport Verband Glider Pilot Dagger by Wilhelm Wagner

The blade of the dagger is mostly bright although somewhat cloudy, with runner lines down the length of the blade and little visible crosgrain. The ricasso bears the manufacturer mark of the Wagner firm, and the leather washer remains in place above the ricasso. The pommel and guard are silver nickel with dark, uncleaned, patina. The wood grip is covered in dark blue Moroccan leather in very good condition.The scabbard fittings are the nickel silver variety. The scabbard, like the grip, is covered in blue Moroccan leather which shows chips and scuffs. There is a piece of leather missing from the scabbard on one edge, exposing the underlying metal of the scabbard for approximately 1/2 of an inch.
