Distributor Marked Third Reich Fire Police Bayonet by Lauterjung & Co. (Tiger)

The blade of the bayonet is quite bright, showing typical spots, scratches, and surface grime. The ricasso is distributor marked by “Georg Rieder” of Munich. The opposite side bears the tiger logo of the manufacturing firm of Lauterjung & Company of Solingen. The leather washer is in place at the top of the ricasso. The black Bakelite grip plates are without chips or cracks. The guard and the pommel show some fine speckling of the plating as well as uncleaned patina. The black paint of the scabbard is approximately 40 percent intact, with the scabbard showing loss of paint on both sides.
