Civil War Light Artillery White Buff Sword Belt with M1851 Belt Plate

The brass belt plate bears a silver wreath, with the wreath showing age toning and some verdigris, while the plate has an uncleaned patina. The reverse side bears the numbers “738” on the tongue and “8” on the center rear of the plate – no number on the keeper. The buff leather belt shows soiling and signs of wear but the belt is complete and the leather is supple. Both sword hangers are present. The belt has an overall length of approximately 34 inches. Overall the set is in very good  condition.
