Civil War Brown Buff Leather Belt with Cap Box

Full length brown buff leather belt with Pattern 1839 buckle and cap box. The outer flap of the box is manufacturer marked by Crossman & Co. of Newark and U.S. Ordnance Depot marking. Missing its interior wool, has its pick, leather shows minor crazing, both reverse loops are intact and tight. The belt is approximately 32 inches in length and is in excellent condition. The buckle has arrow hooks, retains about 10% original gilt finish and shows a few small dents.
