CBI / China Command DSC Recipient Officer Uniform
$450.00
The shirt, tie, Ike jacket, trousers, and overseas cap of a U.S. Army Infantry Major who served in the China Burma India theater with the Chinese Combat Command, and whose ribbons include the Distinguished Service Cross.
The jacket is a regulation U.S. Army officer’s “Ike” style jacket, size 38 Long, with theater made patches for the CBI theater and the China Combat Command on the shoulders. The jacket carries pin back Major’s leaves and clutch back, theater made, distinctive insignia of the U.S. Army Military Assistance Group in China. The left breast displays a Combat Infantry Badge and two ribbon bars, one clutch back and one pin back, with ribbons which include the Distinguished Service Cross, the Silver Star, the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart and the Pacific Campaign Medal with three campaign stars. All of the clutch back insignia on the jacket is fastened with Phinney clutches.
The shirt is an “Arrow” brand officer’s shirt in olive drab wool. The trousers are officer grade olive wool, matching the jacket. The necktie is olive wool. The overseas cap is olive wool, size 6 3/4, and interestingly uses a piping of dark blue and gold for the officer piping, rather than the normally see black and gold piping. However, the cap is indeed tagged as an officer’s garrison cap with an interior Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot tag, dated 1944.
The uniform is in overall excellent condition.
