Cased WWII Purple Heart Named to a Paratrooper of the 101st Airborne Division

The Purple Heart has a slot brooch suspension and it is contained within the titled black leather case together with the enamel lapel badge and two length of ribbon. The decoration bears small machine engraving to “Joseph D. F. Ransom” of Massachusetts, who served in the 101st Airborne Division during World War II. The case shows minor scuffs. The medal is in excellent condition.
