Cased Order of the German Eagle Second Class with Swords Marked “900” and “21” (Godet & Co.)

The decoration is in very fine condition. The Order shows patina and some slight wear to the gilt finish, but the enamel is without chips or cracks and the Order makes a superb presentation. The pin bears the silver content mark of “900” as well as the LDO code of “21”, reflecting production by the Godet firm. The Order is contained within its red leather case, the interior of the lid bearing the name of the Order and the second class designation. The case shows a bit of wear but it makes an excellent appearance. Overall an exceptionally fine example of the German Eagle Order with Swords, Second Class.
