Cased Luftwaffe Observer Badge in Tombac by Paul Meybauer

The two piece Tombac badge exhibits splendid detail, with a toned finish and retaining some of the burnishing across the badge. The vaulted eagle has cut out wing tips and tail feathers and the eagle is secured to the wreath by two countersunk rivets. The reverse has a barrel hinge and vertical pin attachment with “C” catch. The reverse is maker marked by the Meybauer firm of Berlin. The badge is contained within its original case which shows minor scuffs and signs of age but which is complete and intact. Both the badge and the case are in overall excellent condition and make an impressive appearance.
