Cased Japanese Navy 1st Class Torpedo Firing Badge

From the excellent website “Imperial Japan Medals and Badges” dot com: “Awarded to NCOs who operated torpedoes on warships and submarines. Also eligible were the torpedo sight operators.” The badge is in excellent condition with fine enamel and dark, uncleaned patina. It is contained within its fitted, titled leather case, which shows expected signs of age and wear.
