Cased Japanese 1909 Medal Commemorating Crown Prince Yoshihito’s Trip to the Korean Empire

The medal was presented in a gold version to Imperial families, and in this silver version to members of Japanese royalty. The silver medal shows a fine, uncleaned patina. The top section of the suspension device on the rear of the ribbon has become detached due simply to a loss of a few stitches, but it remains present with the medal. The wooden lacquer case shows minor scratches.
