Cased German Cross in Silver by C.F. Zimmermann

A fine example of the 1941 War Order of the German Cross in silver, within its original black leather case. The cross is four rivet construction and marked on the underside of the pin with the Prasidialkanzlei number of “20”, reflecting manufacture by the firm of C.F. Zimmermann of Pforzheim. The cross is in excellent condition. The enamel swastika has no chips or cracks, and the silver frosting on the wreath is largely intact. The cross is contained within its original fitted leather case with a gold line around the edges. Overall excellent to very fine condition.
