Cased British Boer War / WWI Six Miniature Medal Group

The miniature medal group is contained within a leather case that s marked on the interior satin lid by a “regimental Badge Specialist” in Glasgow, Scotland.  The base of the case is lined in blue velvet, with a slot to receive the long pin on the back of the medal group. The group is comprised of the Boer War Queen’s South Africa Medal with the bars “South Africa 1901”, “Transvaal”, “Orange Free State”, and “Cape Colony”; the World War I 1914-15 Star: The War Medal; the Victory Medal; the George V Long Service and Good Conduct Medal; and the George V Medal for Meritorious Service, indicating that the owner of the medal bar was a non-commissioned officer. The medals all have dark, uncleaned patina. The ribbons and the case show signs of age and wear, but the set remains in very good condition.
