The visor cap is contained within its leather carrier case, which has inked notations on the exterior side. The body of the cap is dark blue wool, and it exhibits some typical subtle tracking on the top as well as a very small surface hole. The cap comes with its white cotton warm climate cover, which shows spots and soiling but which is without damage. The surface of the visor shows typical crazing and signs of age. The interior leather sweatband has some tears, while the purple silk lining is intact and is embroidered with kanji, this being the name of the officer who owned and wore the cap. Overall the cap is in very good condition and it makes an excellent appearance. The leather carrying case has scuffs and abrasions as well as indications of age, but it is also complete and intact and overall it is in very good service used condition.
