Captured 1942 Dated Japanese Military Sun Helmet with Imperial Navy Rising Sun Souvenir Artwork
$775.00
The captured Japanese military sun helmet was painted white on the exterior, with an Japanese Navy Rising Sun flag painted on the front. The interior has painted kanji, likely the name of the Japanese owner of the helmet. The interior also has the standard two cloth issue labels, one of which bears the date of 1942, while the other has the name “Burns”, presumably the name of the G.I. who captured the helmet. The helmet retains the full liner and chin strap, and it makes an impressive appearance.
