The silk handkerchief is approximately 11 inches by 11-1/2 inches when open. The handkerchief exhibits age, but overall it is in excellent condition, without holes or damage. The handkerchief commemorated the Munich Conference between British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain and Adolf Hitler. On September 30, 1938, Chamberlain returned to London and proclained that, as a result of the agreement reached in Munich, there would be “Peace in our time”. He was, as it turned out, incorrect.
