The dark blue cloth Home Service helmet exhibits surface dust and patina on the fixtures, but the helmet is quite clean and without damage or repairs. The front displays the large badge of The Northamptonshire Regiment, which features a gilt star back plate, a silver center depicting the Gibraltar castle, and a key symbol with the “Talavera” scroll, as well as the Garter star motto. The full chain link chin strap is intact. The full leather sweatband is present on the interior. The interior base of the spike bears the retailer name of military outfitter F.W. Flight of Winchester. Overall very good condition.
