British Army Brigadier General Dress Visor Cap

The cap is constructed of a high quality dark blue wool with red wool cap band. The patent leather surface of the visor has gold bullion oak leaves which show a fine age toning. The leather itself has typical age crazing. The insignia on the cap peak exhibits toning of the bullion. The patent leather chin strap is secured by “ER II” buttons. The interior leather sweat band is intact, as is the lining, which bears the tailor’s name and address. There are a few tiny spots of wear where interior lining shows through, such as one beneath the overhang on the right side at the top of the cap band, and on the top rear seam at the back, none of which are readily visible. Overall the cap is in excellent condition and it makes a very fine appearance.
