British 8th King’s Royal Irish Hussars Uniform
$795.00
The uniform is comprised of the “Attila” tunic, the riding trousers, the boots, and the busby. The wool tunic shows surface dust and small scattered holes but overall it makes a very good appearance. The collar has prepared holes for the placement of regimental collar badges. The interior of the tunic is marked to Troop A of the 8th Hussars Regiment. The remnants of the paper contractor tag remains present on the interior. The lining exhibits several small holes. The metal closures on the tunic exhibit some rust. The wool trousers similarly have scattered holes, as well as some fading of the yellow trouser trim. The leather retention straps remain in place at the bottoms of the trouser legs. The leather riding boots are somewhat dry and stiff, but they are intact, to include the integral spurs affixed to the heels and gold trim along the tops. The fur busby is complete with plume and bullion cords. The busby shows signs of age and wear, with toning of the cords and with surface dust, but it is complete to include the liner and it makes a very good appearance. Overall the complete uniform, while showing age and with scattered holes, makes a very good appearance.
