British 12th Lancers Regiment Uniform Group

$1,500.00

The group is comprised of the 12th Lancers Regiment uniform tunic; the fabric belt; the trousers, the boots; and the helmet. The tunic retains an interior label which is dated 1913, with the broad arrow stamp inside of the sleeve. The tunic retains all of the 12th Lancer buttons, and overall the tunic is very clean, showing age and use, with some surface dust, but it is without holes or damage and it makes a very good appearance. The fabric belt is intact and complete with all closure toggles. The wool trousers apparently post-date the period of the tunic, with a name written inside of the waistband. The interior side of the mid left leg has three small holes that are not particularly distracting. The leather Lancers helmet exhibits age crazing and some relatively minor flaking. The brass helmet plate has an uncleaned patina. The red plume and brass chain link chin strap are present on the helmet. The full lining and leather sweatband are present on the interior and intact, with two old stickers on the sweatband. The leather boots show signs of wear and use, with some crazing of the surfaces, but generally they are very good polish, with leather that is supple. Overall the uniform set is quite impressive.
