Braunschweig Fire Police NCO Belt and Dress Bayonet by E. Pack & Son with Portepee

The black leather belt carries the aluminum buckle that was used by the Braunschweig police and Landwehr. with the dress bayonet of the fire police by E. Pack & Son. The belt is marked as a size 95 centimeters, or approximately 37 inches. The buckle shows verdigris and a few minor indentations. The blade of the bayonet is generally clean, while showing surface grime and some mossy spots. The pommel and the guard exhibit patina and speckling of the finish. The black Bakelite grip plates are without chips or cracks. The bayonet scabbard retains its black painted finish. The leather belt shows age and some flaking of the surfaces, but it is pliable and intact. The leather pocket on the bayonet frog has breaks, but it remains intact. Tied around the frog is a Third Reich portepee for the Fire Police.
