Boxed Engraved Veteran Assn. Standard Bearer Gorget

A boxed 25 year standard bearer gorget of the NS-RKB, the “Nationalsozialistische Reichskriegerbund” (National Socialist State VeteransOrganization), which was engraved below the upper edge “Pionier-Kameradschaft Recklinghausen Sud”, indicating that the gorget was used by the veterans’ organization of Recklinghausen South in North Rhine-Westphalia. The enamel shield is surmounted by an enamel 25 year roundel. The gilt finish on the gorget and chain appears toned with age but intact. The back of the gorget is fully lined in black wool. The back attachment clip is manufacturer marked with the number 1. The box for the gorget shows wear but it is intact. Overall very good condition.
