Boxed 1938 Third Reich Terra Cotta War and Political Monument Commemorative Plaque

The earthenware plaque is approximately 4 1/2 inches in diameter. The plaque shows minor scrapes to the red finish. The plaque depicts a monument in the city of Henningsdorf that was erected to honor both the dead of the World War and the dead of the Nazi Party movement. The obverse side bears the statement in German “The Heroes of the World War – The Heroes of the Movement”; “To Commemorate the Consecration of the Honor Monument, Henningsdorf, on 9 November 1938”; and on the reverse “Given by the builders of the Honor Monument, P. Berens; Made in the HB Workshops, Marwitz”. The plaque is contained within its original cardboard box.
