Attributed Insignia Group with Theater Made Insignia

A large group of WWII Army insignia attributed by a handwritten tag to Staff Sergeant Edward F. Mikesh, Jr., serial number 32339068, who served as a combat infantryman in company M of the 337th Infantry Regiment, 85th Infantry Division. The group consists of the following insignia:
– Theater made 5th Army patch with theater made “Africa-Italy” arc;
– Theater made 85th Division patch with theater made “Africa-Italy” arc;
– A pair of Italian-made 85th Division distinctive insignia, with button hole fastening devices much like lapel badges. The badges are complete with the small paper envelope of the Italian insignia manufacturer.
– Sterling silver Combat Infantry Badge, lacking the clutch fasteners.
– Three place pin back ribbon bar with ribbons for the Silver Star, the Army Good Conduct Medal, and the European Campaign Medal.
– A pair of sterling pin back distinctive insignia for the 337th Infantry Regiment, maker marked by Dondero of Washington, D.C.
– A single, clutch back distinctive insignia of the 76th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion.
– A single, pin back distinctive insignia, Italian made, for the 101st Military Police Battalion.
– A screw back enlisted collar disk with crossed rifles over an “M” company designation.
– A pair of theater-made gold bullion overseas service stripes.
– Three Staff Sergeant chevrons, one of which is machine embroidered and the other two being a set in multi-piece wool construction.
– Four U.S.-made 5th Army shoulder patches.
– Four U.S.-made 85th Division shoulder patches, one of which is a white back patch.
– A strip of 13 overseas service stripes, embroidered on wool.
All of the insignia is in excellent used condition.
