Army Type 90 Combat Helmet with Capture Paper

A Japanese Army Type 90 combat helmet, lacking liner and chin strap, with the original capture paper that was completed in the Pacific Theater in order to allow Sergeant William P. Kyzner to bring the helmet home as a souvenir. The exterior brown paint on the helmet is approximately 60% intact. The army star remains in place on the front of the helmet. There is kanji painted on the interior rear rim, likely a unit designation and possibly a name.
