The sword has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 38-1/2 inches, with a blade length of approximately 33-1/2 inches. The blade is quite bright, showing typical spots and scratches as well as surface grime. The ricasso bears the mark of the firm of E.u.F. Horster beneath the langet. The nickel guard and pommel exhibit an uncleaned patina. The celluloid grip is tightly triple wrapped with wire, with the celluloid having a chip at the top below the pommel. The black scabbard paint shows scratches and scuffs, but it is largely intact.
