Army Jaeger Officer M43 Field Cap / T Shaped Insignia
$1,300.00
The cap is in field gray wool construction. The front of the cap bears the machine woven “T” shaped national eagle and cockade on a rayon trapezoid base that is machine sewn to the front of the cap. The crown of the cap is piped in silver aluminum cord reflecting officer rank. The left side panel has pinned to it the large oak leaf spray identifying the wearer as a member of “Jaeger” troops – shows wear on the wool around the edges of the insignia indicating the insignia is original to the cap. The field cap is fully lined in a light tan cotton. The exterior of the cap shows the expected signs of wear and use, but it is without holes or stains and makes a superb appearance. The interior shows legitimate wear to the lining that is consistent with a field worn M43 cap. The initials “M H” are written on the lining of the crown. Overall the cap is an exceptional example of an Army Jaeger officer’s M43 cap, showing very attractive characteristics of honest wear, and exuding true historical charisma.
