The blued blade exhibits a finish that is mostly intact, with wear of the finish towards the tip and with the blade showing typical spots and scratches. The blade is without nicks, chips, or active rust. The ricasso bears the manufacturer mark of the Kokura Arsenal together with the mark of National Denki. The bayonet has a bird head pommel and hooked quillon. The wood grip plates show typical signs of age and darkening from use, with some scrapes and chips from wear in the field, but they are intact. Both the pommel and the quillon have a dark patina, with the pommel bearing an impressed number. The blued scabbard exhibits wear and use. Overall good field used condition.
