The letter is approximately 8 inches by 11-1/2 inches, with two file holes in the margin. The top has an embossed 1927 pattern political eagle. The letterhead indicates that the correspondence originated from “Der Stellvertreter des Fuhrers”, or the Deputy Fuhrer of the Nazi Party, this being Rudolf Hess. More specifically, the letter bears the typed designation that the letter was coming from “Der Beauftragte der Parteileitung”, or ” The Commissioner of the Party Leadership”. The letter is addressed to the Supreme Party Court, with the letter reference (“Betrifft”, or “Concerning”) being “Beschwerde des Pg. Willi Schenck, Frankenthal / Pfalz, Entlassung durch den S-Dienst.”, or “Complaint of Pg. Willi Schenck, Frankenthal / Pfalz, dismissal by the S-Dienst.”.
