9th Air Force Air Crew Ike Jacket and Shirts Group

A World War II Ike jacket worn by the member of a bomber air crew, together with two of his shirts.
The Ike jacket is size 36 regular with an internal Quartermaster Corps tag dated December of 1944. The jacket has Army Air corps collar disks; a 9th Air force shoulder patch; three overseas service stripes; armament specialist sleeve patch; “Ruptured Duck” discharge patch; an oversize two place ribbon bar with plastic covered ribbons for the Army Good Conduct Medal and the European Campaign Medal with four campaign stars; and a sterling silver pin back Air Crew wing. The group includes a khaki cotton shirt and a wool olive drab shirt (size 14×32), both with 9th Air Force shoulder patches, overseas service stripes, and the unit commendation patch on the lower right sleeves. The group also includes a khaki colored wool necktie. The items show wear and use but remain in very good condition.
