2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger by Richard Herder

A very nice 2nd model Luftwaffe Officer’s dagger with hangers and portepee. The blade is manufacturer marked by Richard Herder of Solingen. The celluloid grip is pale yellow and is without cracks or chips. The dagger fittings and scabbard are a uniform “airplane metal” gray in color. The scabbard has two small spots of rust, one on the obverse and one on the side. The blade is bright and free of chips or nicks. The fabric hangers, with velvet backing, are in a fine condition that nicely match the dagger.
