2nd Division 23rd Rgt. Headquarters M1917 Combat Helmet

Model 1917 combat helmet with the painted insignia of the front of the Headquarters of the 23rd Infantry Regiment of the 2nd Division. The design is that of the 2nd Division Indian head on a black circular background. The insignia is largely intact, as is the sand infused combat finish though there are some of the typical smooth spots on the helmet where the finish was worn down from use in combat. The helmet is complete with the liner and full chin strap. Very good combat used condition.
