1st Pattern Silver Spanish Civil War Wound Badge

$170.00

The wound badge of the First World War, featuring the Model 1916 helmet with swastika. This wound badge design was instituted in May of 1939 for award to members of the Condor Legion who had been wounder while fighting in Spain in support of the forces of General Franco. The wound badge design was changed several months later to use the newer M35 German helmet. This example was originally silver, and much of the original finish has worn off of the badge.
