The exterior of the wool cap shows some subtle spots and nap wear, as well as a few tiny bites to the material, but it is without damage and it seems to show primarily the effects of storage for an extended period of time. The interior lining shows few, if any, signs of actual wear, and the lining is completely intact. The lining is dated 1944 and it is marked as a size 56. Overall the cap makes an excellent appearance and it is in very fine condition.
