1944 Dated Luftwaffe EM/NCO M43 Field Cap

A nice example of a classic piece of World War II German headgear: the Model 1944 Luftwaffe field cap. The blue wool cap carries on the front the embroidered trapezoid insignia with Luftwaffe eagle and cockade, machine sewn to the cap through the lining, which itself is nicely issue stamped, dated 1944, and marked as a size 56. The cap has the normal extended wool covered visor. The cap shows minor wear and use, and there is a small hole, about 1/4 inch in length, on the left side of the ear flap. However, the cap overall has a fine appearance, with a “been there” look and much character.
