1944 Dated K98 Combat Bayonet by E.u.F Hörster with Frog

The finish on the blade is largely intact, showing some spots of wear. The ricasso is marked “44asw”, reflecting production in 1944 by the firm of E.u.F Hörster. The opposite side of the ricasso is numbered, as is the throat of the scabbard, and the numbers do not match. The grip plates are without chips or cracks. Both the guard and the pommel have an essentially intact finish, with the pommel bearing waffen amt marks. The leather frog shows age, and the rear of the frog has what appears to be a name that was scratched out, but overall the frog is in very good  condition. The scabbard shows spots of surface rust, but the finish is generally complete. Overall the bayonet is in very good  condition.
