1943 Dated K98 Combat Bayonet by E.u.F Hörster with Frog

The blued finish of the blade is largely intact, showing typical wear on high points and towards the tip. The ricasso bears the dated manufacturer code of “43asw”, indicating 1943 production by the firm of E.u.F Hörster. The opposite ricasso is serial numbered, as is the scabbard throat, although the numbers do not match. The brown Bakelite grip plates are without chips or cracks. The guard and the pommel exhibit wear to the finish and uncleaned patina, with the pommel having waffen amt marks. The scabbard shows wear to the finish and surface rust. The leather frog has a tear at the scabbard socket hole, but the frog is generally intact. Overall very good combat used condition.
