1942 Luftwaffe Ehrenpokal Honor Goblet to Observer Wilhelm Welling, Awarded the German Cross in Gold

The Luftwaffe Honor Goblet was awarded on June 22, 1942, to Unteroffizier Wilhelm Welling for his service as an Observer. Welling was later awarded the German Cross in Gold on October 3, 1942, while serving with Kampfgeschwader 51. The Honor Goblet has an overall height of approximately 8 inches, with a base diameter of 3-7/8 inches. The interior of the base is marked “Feinsilber Alpaka Auflage” and it is also maker marked by the firm of “Joh. Wagner & Sohn”. The goblet is without dents and displays an attractive mottled patina. Excellent condition.
