1942 Luftwaffe Ehrenpokal Honor Goblet to Obergefreiter Horst Steinke

The Ehrenpokal is approximately 8 inches tall, with a base diameter of approximately 3-3/4 inches tall.  The goblet is named to Obergefreiter Horst Steinke, with an award date of August 18, 1942. Steinke served in Stab, I. Gruppe, Kampfgeschwader 53, “Legion Condor”, and he was also a recipient of the German Cross in Gold. The interior of the base is marked “Feinsilber Alpaka Auflage” and it is also maker marked by the firm of “Joh. Wagner & Sohn”, the only firm that produced the Luftwaffe Honor Goblet. The goblet shows a fine and uncleaned patina and it is without dents or damage, presenting an exceptionally impressive appearance.
