The black Bakelite telephone remains connected by cables to its battery box, although it is unknown if the telephone is functional. The cables show age and use, with some fraying. The telephone and the battery box exhibit surface grime and verdigris, with some rust on the metal components. The back of the telephone bears a manufacturer’s plate with a date of 1942.
