1941 Dated Japanese Army Cavalry Saddle

The brown leather saddle shows expected scuffs and scratches as well as signs of use in the field, but the leather is supple and in good polish. The saddle retains all attachment straps, the fabric bally cords, and the stirrups. The padded fabric interior underside of the saddle shows the spots and stains from the use of the saddle on a horse, but it is without holes or damage. The rear of the saddle bears a manufacturer plate which is dated “Showa 16”, or “1941”. The plate bears the manufacturer name of the “Amino Military Leather Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd.”, with an address of “Tokyo Kudanshita 4-chome”. Overall the saddle is in excellent field used condition.
