1940 Third Reich Cavalry Bicycle Battalion “Freiherr v. Perfall” Service Stein

The half liter pottery stein bears the designation of “Kriegsneihnachten”, or “War Christmas” 1940. The stein displays a Third Reich cavalry regimental standard and the unit designation of “Radfahrschnadron Freiherr v. Perfall”, who was a career army officer who rose to the rank of Generalleutnant in 1939. The surface of the lid has a relief Model 1916 helmet with Third Reich insignia. The lid shows surface dirt and uncleaned patina. The base has a maker’s mark. Overall the stein is in excellent condition, without chips or cracks.
