The document is signed by Adolf Hitler at the Fuhrer’s Headquarters, and it was countersigned by Field Marshal Walther von Brauchitsch, Commander in Chief of the German Army. The document bears a large impressed eagle and swastika seal. Major General Erwin Vierow was awarded the Knights Cross November 15, 1941, Major General Werner Kempf was awarded the Knight’s Cross June 3, 1940 and the Oakleaves August 10, 1942.
