1938 Dated Army Imperial Guard Winter Cap

Olive green wool cap with front fur trim and fur coverings over the ear openings, and mouton wool flaps to cover the side of the head. The front of the cap bears the multi piece wool insignia of the Japanese Army Imperial Guard. There is a bit of material missing from the golden yellow wool insignia. The interior carries an issue stamp with the date of 1938 (indicated on the stamp as “Showa 13”). The full cloth chin strap is present.
