1937 Heinrich Hoffman Adolf Hitler Photograph Book From Hitler’s Personal Library

$875.00

At the end of World War II an American soldier in Berlin bribed a Russian guard at the Reich Chancellery building with some cigarettes and he was then able to acquire as souvenirs some books from Adolf Hitler’s library, together with a sheet of Hitler’s stationary. One of those books, together with a note written by the G.I. on Hitler’s stationary, was offered on this site (item number 50956). This book of Hitler photographs by Heinrich Hoffmann was another volume that was taken by the G.I. as a souvenir. It is a hardcover volume of Hoffman’s photographs of Hitler away from work as Fuhrer, and it is titled “Hitler Abseits Vom Alltag” (“Hitler away from everyday life”). The volume has Hitler’s personal library bookplate inside as the frontispiece, as well as a library inventory label on the back cover. The book is 94 pages and measures approximately 7 1/2 by 10 3/4 inches. The book is in very good condition, showing minor signs of age but being clean, complete, and intact.
